Other Crime/Mystery

The Church At Parkers Wharf

Louise Gorday

For those loving the times of the roaring 20's its all here for you. Crooked cops, car chases, shootouts in speakeasy's. This was fun.

Mystery Of Marie Roget

Edgar Allen Poe

Personally I enjoy Dupin. I see without any doubt that Conan Doyle was influenced by Poe. Though I have to say that even if Poe had carried on with Dupin for a full series, unless he took the time to develop the friendship between Dupin his companion, Sherlock still would have been ore palatable to the public in general. Poe has a very "artistic pen" that most people would have and still would need a dictionary to understand.

The Murders In The Rue Morgue

Edgar Allen Poe

This was sooooo not like any film I have ever seen of the same title. I loved this and I hated every film I ever saw of it. As I have said on more than one occasion, how did they get those movies out of this story?

The Purloined Letter

Edgar Allen Poe

I can see why Holmes is more popular clearly again but I still really enjoy Dupin

Murder On The Orient Express - Audio Book

Agatha Christie

I won't lie about this, if it had not been narrated by that particular person I doubt I would have enjoyed it at all.  As it is though I really enjoyed it.  I would recommend to anyone to actually go and read the physical book or find a suitable audio recording of it.  Was my first Christie novel and honestly most likely my last.

The Coven Murders - The Inspector Sheehan Mysteries #3

Brian O'Hare

This one got me right from the beginning.  A rather gruesome {well to me anyway} murder.  Kept my interest even though it was a tad much for me, I seem to like my crime a bit more lighthearted these days.  I would none the less highly recommend this to anyone who has a like for crime with a twist of the bizarre.

Hidden Agendas   A Dr. Kyle Chandler Thriller
D. Marshall Craig, M.D.

I was hooked from the first few pages.  Well written, humorous and fast paced but it does slow a bit at times to let you take a breather and digest what you just read.  Very much looking forward to more and will be going to my local indie for the first one.
