Hidden City: Poems Of Urban Wildlife
Sarah Grace Tuttle

Book Review
Utterly charming with beautiful illustrations. I found it educational, told me things I didn't know. Well constructed and sturdy binding. I noticed it was more geared to the eastern part of the United States, a western edition would be an excellent companion book for any young readers library.

Book Review
That was far more fun that I had thought it would be. I loved the way the friendship between Dallet and Torak {if you could call it that} grew. I am quite eagerly looking for the second book
I would recommend this one to anyone looking for a nice escape

I liked the cover but most likely not in the way others would

Lovely little story highly recommended. Perhaps a too much for smaller ones to understand and perhaps a little too rough language for the some little ones

This could have been just a stand alone story but thankfully there is another to come. I have never read a mermaid story and found this enchanting. Solid story. Highly recommended

Lovely summer read. It got a bit political for a while but since it had nothing to do with current politics then it was a nice distraction from real life. Definitely recommended

The Haunted Love Of Miss Trinity
Jason Donoghue
Book Review
I fell in love with Quinlan I think before Trinity did. The language was a bit out of the time frame but the story itself made up for that. "Lustful" that can't be said enough with this one

Very appropriate I think for the content
Blessings Of The Firebirds Light
Rose S. King
Book Review
Everything seems to be roses here, which for me is a good thing. It's clearly a Christian based tale but if your OK with that mixed with some excellent fantasy then I suggest it highly

I love the continuation. I always liked the vivid details that are written, you're really there. Anyone with a Christian religion upbringing who has an interest in fantasy works should really five these books a try. They are not a heave read so they are a pleasant way to pass some time

Tarzan Of The Apes
Edgar Rice Burroughs
You really have to let your own "Suspension of disbelief" kick in or you won't enjoy this one at all. You have to let go of all the films you have seen, prepare yourself for early 1900's writing, believe the impossible and get ready for alot of violence and a transformation of how you thought Tarzan was. If you can do this, you are in for a trip you will really enjoy, I was in love with Tarzan sooner than Jane was.

I ended up having to get the green flexibound cover from Word Cloud Classics and I don't like it. Don't like the feel of it
The Colonel And The Bee
Patrick Canning
Book Review
Let me first say I love the cover and the inside artwork is really some of the best I have come across in a while.
Not to give too much away it is an excellent Summer escape read. Takes you around the world, makes you care about the characters and leaves you turning the pages till the end. An excellent way to spend some time if you want to travel and can't.

Book Review
This one is surely going on my Summer reading list and going to be read again. Delightful from the beginning and with the added convenience of a map, so you don't really have to guess at much, its already there. A perfect way to spend a Summer afternoon and evening. Looking forward to more.

I got into this one after having a particularly bad day and started reading it and it really lightened my mood a great deal. I could not get through it all in one evening but took it to work the next day and spent break and lunch with it. I love them, but my favorite is."To An Orange". One to keep in with the other comfort books.

A Sign Of Alchemy Novel #1
Robert W. Oliver II
Book Review
I didn't quite expect to be so taken with this one. When the ending of a book leaves you wanting more then to me that is a great book and this one has me needing to read the next one as soon as I can. I don't really like to give spoilers of any kind away but the end really had me choked up alot. A great way to spend some time in a world away

Book Review
This should be a movie and to me I don't know how else to say it, though as with many great stories, if you don't have the proper people it would be lost, so this maybe should stay in your head. A great read again.

A simply delightful read, the illustrations are gorgeous, something for every children's collection. A lovely story of friendship that I think is a must read for any age reader, for children to teach them and for adults to perhaps remind them.

The Lost World
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Book Review
No stars for this one here. I wanted to like it, I tried to like it but after 5 chapters and we have not even left England let alone we are still do for a lecture, it was just too much for me the take. I could not connect or fall in love with any of the characters and for those who say Professor Challenger is more arrogant than Sherlock Holmes, well I suggest you go back and read some Holmes.
The Goodbye Family And The Great Mountain
Lorin Morgan-Richards
Book Review
Without giving too much away this one is very fun, if you have a taste for The West as I do, then this one is great, yes it is a children's book but who cares when its fun its fun. The illustrations are top notch as well. This one I will be reading again.

She: A History Of Adventure
H. Rider Haggard
Book Review
If you like adventure fantasy with loads of flowery and descriptive language with epic scenery descriptions then this one if for a good Summer read.
I liked it well enough but not really enough to add to my own personal shelf of adventure. I did get a bit bored with Ayesha's perfection.
You have to remember it was written in Victorian times so you have to be able to handle that to enjoy this one.
The version I have is a 1960's cover that I could not find.
